On November 4th, 2009, SAVI will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a benefit cocktail reception at Tavern on the
Green. We are delighted and honored to pay tribute that evening to Michael Brodman, M.D., Ellen and
Howard C. Katz Chairman’s Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive
Science, Professor, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Linda Fairstein, author and former
prosecutor. Both honorees have championed SAVI’s mission to provide free and
confidential counseling, advocacy, support, and referral services to victims
of rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence. |

SAVI staff and volunteers
generate a dynamic force to overcome sexual and domestic violence and
cultural practices and values that sustain them - breaking down institutional
systems and individual attitudes that isolate and blame survivors. We offer
hope, inspiration, and guidance to people and organizations working toward
healing. |
