On November 4th, 2009, SAVI will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a benefit cocktail reception at Tavern on the Green. We are delighted and honored to pay tribute that evening to Michael Brodman, M.D., Ellen and Howard C. Katz Chairman’s Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science, Professor, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Linda Fairstein, author and former prosecutor. Both honorees have championed SAVI’s mission to provide free and confidential counseling, advocacy, support, and referral services to victims of rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence. 
       
PROFESSOR & CHAIR  Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science Michael Brodman Dr. Brodman received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  He completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  He has been a member of the faculty since then.

Linda Fairstein Linda Fairstein, former prosecutor and best-selling crime novelist, is one of America's foremost legal cxperts on crimes of violence against women and children.  For three decades, from 1972 until 2002, she served in the office of the New York County District Attorney, where she was Chief of the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit for twenty-five years.
